Bomi County – The lifeless body of a man who went missing nearly two weeks ago has been discovered on Hammer Farm in Tubmanburg, Bomi County.
The deceased has been identified as John Flomo, an employee of Hammer Farm, who was believed to be in his 50s.
According to a family member, Mr. Charles Macgil, John Flomo was last seen on March 7, 2025, after receiving his February salary.
His disappearance prompted an intensive search by locals and the Liberia National Police Bomi detachment.
After several days of searching, his body was found on Tuesday, March 18, in the afternoon hours.
Macgil alleged that his brother may have been murdered and his lifeless body was deliberately abandoned on the farm premises. Meanwhile, a fifteen-member coroner jury, set up by the LNP, reported that the body had been tampered with by unknown individuals.
The examination revealed that Flomoโs throat was slit, one leg was broken, and his private parts were removed. Following this report, the LNP Bomi detachment has arrested eleven individuals as prime suspects in connection to his death.
The suspects, currently in police custody, include six men and five women. In the wake of the tragedy, the deceasedโs family has formally requested the LNP Bomi detachment to release the remains for burial, citing the current condition of the body.
The investigation into the brutal killing of John Flomo continues.
