Liberia – Watchin Harmon, a rising figure in Liberian football, has been appointed Deputy Coach of the Liberia U-17 Women’s National Team for the ongoing WAFU A Girls Tournament.
Currently a third-division coach with Tebeh Football Club and Assistant Coach for District #10, Harmon has earned recognition for her tactical skills and ability to develop young talent.
She led Tebeh FC to victory in the Sinkor Committee Third Division League and played a key role in the team’s success at the Montserrado National Playoff.
Harmon also made history by guiding District #10 to win the inaugural District Coaches Tournament—a title the team still holds.
In doing so, she became the first female coach in the district league, marking a significant milestone for women in Liberian sports leadership.
A CAF License C holder, Harmon also serves as head coach of the District #10 Coaches Association, mentoring peers and advocating for greater female participation in football.
“I am very excited to be called to the Liberia Women U-17 team to serve as Deputy Coach,” Harmon said. “I was very surprised when I saw it.
