Monrovia — The Liberia Anti-Corruption Commission (LACC) on Monday welcomed a high-level delegation from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Mission Team currently in the country to conduct a Governance Diagnostic assessment.
The meeting, held at the LACC headquarters in Monrovia, brought together the IMF delegation and senior management of the Commission for discussions on governance challenges and Liberia’s ongoing anti-corruption efforts.
According to the LACC, the IMF team is in Liberia to examine systemic weaknesses in governance across key public institutions and to provide strategic recommendations aimed at enhancing transparency, accountability, and the rule of law.
As part of their broader mission, the IMF delegation has been engaging with various government agencies and stakeholders.
At Monday’s meeting, LACC leadership outlined the Commission’s priorities, ongoing challenges, and reform initiatives geared toward strengthening institutional integrity.
Both the LACC and the IMF team underscored the importance of robust governance frameworks in promoting national development and curbing corruption.
The Commission welcomed the IMF’s support for Liberia’s governance reform agenda and pledged its full commitment to contributing to the success of the diagnostic process.
