MONROVIA – The Liberia Taekwondo Federation (LTF) has announced the indefinite suspension of eight Taekwondo clubs, effective immediately, citing persistent noncompliance with federation activities and incidents of misconduct.
The suspended clubs include: Grace Taekwondo Club, Ba-Fon Cobra, PF Taekwondo, Ba-Fon Cobra-Institute, Dragon B Lee-3, Dragon Lee 2 Taekwondo Institute, Ba-Fon Cobra-1, Professional Taekwondo, Dragon Legend and Ba-Fon Cobra Taekwondo Institute
According to an official communication obtained by this outlet, the suspensions were triggered by the clubs’ repeated absence from official LTF events and programs over a prolonged period, despite multiple invitations and follow-up reminders from the federation.
The statement further noted that none of the affected clubs provided a formal explanation—either written or verbal—for their continued absence, a situation the Federation deemed a violation of organizational protocols.
Additionally, the communication highlighted reported incidents of misconduct, including disrespectful behavior and insulting remarks aimed at LTF officials in online chatrooms. The Federation said such actions have undermined the leadership and integrity of the LTF Executive Committee.
Following a comprehensive review conducted by the Grievances and Ethics Committee, the Federation resolved to impose indefinite suspensions on the listed clubs. As a result, these clubs are barred from participating in any Taekwondo-related activities within Liberia until further notice or a directive is issued by the Federation’s leadership.
The Liberia Taekwondo Federation is currently headed by Master Junior Pewee Russian, who serves as President.
