NEC Brings in Ballot Papers for Nimba By-Election

Monrovia, Liberia – The National Election Commission has announced the arrival of ballot papers for the April 22, 2025 senatorial by-election in Nimba County.

The shipment includes: 413,050 ballot sheets, 751 sets of record of the count and 751 templates for visually impaired voters.

The Nimba County Senatorial By-Election aims to replace the vacancy left by the late Senator Prince Johnson who die during the latter part of 2024 following a period of protracted illness.

Prince Johnson serves the people of Nimba County as a senator from 2005 till his death in 2024.

Candidates for the by-election includes current Nimba County Representative Samuel Kogar, Edith Gongloe Weh, Garrison Yealue, T. Wonokay Fangalo, Mack Gblewon, George Gorpu, and Richard Tingban.
