Monrovia – Global Pharma FC has officially rebranded as Borough FC, ushering in a bold new era that reflects the club’s evolution, renewed vision, and deeper connection to its community.
In an official statement, the club announced: “We are excited to share that, effective immediately, our team will be undergoing a name change. What was formerly known as Global Pharma FC will now be proudly called Borough FC.”
Club President Sylvanus Morris emphasized that the change is more than cosmetic—it signals a transformation in identity and purpose.
“This is not just a new name. It’s a new beginning. Borough FC represents the true spirit of our constituents—our identity, our pride, and the legacy we’re building,” Morris said.
The rebrand follows the exit of Global Pharmaceutical Company as the team’s primary sponsor earlier this year. Formerly known as Monrovia Club Breweries FC, the club has undergone several transformations over the years, but this latest shift is seen as a strategic step toward long-term community engagement and sporting excellence.
While the name and branding have changed, the club reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to excellence, teamwork, and the spirit of the game. Borough FC also expressed gratitude to its loyal fans, partners, and community stakeholders for their continued support throughout the club’s evolution.
“We are proud of where we’ve come from and even more excited about where we’re headed. Borough FC is ready to carry forward the legacy with renewed energy and purpose,” the release stated.
The rebrand signals the beginning of a new chapter—one that places community values, identity, and long-term development at the center of the club’s mission.
