LFA Launches Capacity Building Workshop for Women’s Football Stakeholders

By: Perry B. Zordyu

Monrovia, Liberia — The Liberia Football Association (LFA), through its Women’s Football Department, has officially launched a Capacity Building Workshop under the FIFA-funded Women’s Football Capacity Building Initiative.

The workshop aims to strengthen skills, increase participation, and enhance the capacity of women’s football stakeholders across the country.

According to the LFA, the program will be conducted in seven counties — Montserrado, Nimba, Grand Gedeh, Maryland, Lofa, River Gee, and Grand Kru.

The initiative is designed to empower club administrators from the Upper, Lower, and Community Leagues, as well as Sub-Association officials, by equipping them with the tools and knowledge to effectively manage and promote women’s football.

It also includes Member Association staff, affiliated personnel, and volunteers, with the goal of boosting administrative and organizational development within Liberia’s women’s football ecosystem.

The workshop is being facilitated by FIFA Women’s Football Technical Expert Thubaelihle Bridgette Sibanda, serving as lead facilitator, alongside FIFA Expert Armel Azihar Sly-Vania.

The initiative represents another significant milestone in the LFA’s ongoing efforts to promote the growth, professionalization, and sustainability of women’s football in Liberia.
