MONROVIA – The Managing Director of the Liberia Water and Sewer Corporation Mohamed Ali has accused Bomi County Senator Edwin Snowe of lobbying at the level of the Economic Community for West African States (ECOWAS) for Liberia to not benefit anything under President Boakai.

Ali claimed that Senator Snowe had criticized him a forth night ago on Spoon Talk due to his repeated criticism against a ruling made the Supreme Court on Wednesday which favors House embattled Speaker Fonati Koffa.

In a post on his official Facebook page on early Thursday morning, Ali claimed that Senator Snowe has promised to do everything in his power to ensure that the Joseph Bokai government fails.

“Hon. Edwin Melvin Snowe Jr. good morning chief. I heard you expressing your disappointment in me last night on Spoon Talk. I understand your frustration chief. However, you are the same person who went on the same Spoon FM and said that you will fight with everything in you to ensure that the Joseph Boakai government fails.” Ali said.

According to Ali, Senator Snowe is the one lobbying at ECOWAS to ensure that Liberia does not benefit from anything because he wants the government to fail.

“Hon. Snowe, you have even stated that you will begin lobbying for ECOWAS member states to vote against Liberia at the pending UN Security Council election. Chief we even understand the maneuverings you are doing to ensure that the government fails. Hence, your disappointment in me is understandable because I’m standing against what you want, that’s a failure of the government.”

“We are friends but I will continue to fight for a success of the government in the interest of the people why you will continue to fight against the success of the country. Have a great day sir.”

Senator Snowe is yet to respond.
