MONTSERRADO – The 2025 Liberia Football Association (LFA) Montserrado District League is set to conclude this Sunday with a highly anticipated grand final at the Tusa Field in Gardnersville.

After kicking off in late July with 17 participating districts, the tournament has narrowed down to two standout teams: District 9 and defending champions District 7. Both sides will battle it out for the coveted 2025 championship title.

District 9 booked their spot in the final with a commanding 6-1 victory over District 4 in a thrilling semifinal encounter. The team delivered an impressive performance and now aims to crown their season with silverware, hoping to end years of close calls and near misses.

On the other hand, District 7 earned their place in the final after a dramatic clash against District 17. The match ended in a 1-1 draw, forcing a penalty shootout.

LISCA FC striker Emmanuel Flomo put District 17 ahead in the 54th minute, but District 7 equalized in the 90th minute thanks to a scrappy finish by Joseph Toe. The penalty shootout then paved the way for the reigning champions to reach yet another final.

As the final approaches, excitement is building among football fans, many of whom have praised both teams for their talent and determination.

With skilled players on both sides, the Montserrado District League finale promises to be a thrilling showdown.

The final whistle will ultimately determine which district claims the 2025 championship—and local bragging rights.
