WAYZOHN CIYT – Residents of Wayzohn City are on the verge of a transformative shift as MBH Power contractors begin connecting homes to the national electricity grid.

The long-anticipated electrification project promises to bring public power to thousands of households, improving living conditions and sparking opportunities across the community.

According to Matthew Darwolo, Field Supervisor for MBH Power, the project marks a pivotal moment for Wayzohn, a city that has struggled for years with the lack of reliable electricity.

“We are here to make sure that all of the communities within this city are connected,” Darwolo stated during an on-site interview.

He emphasized that access to electricity goes beyond lighting homes—it represents empowerment, growth, and development.

“Access to electricity is not just about lighting homes; it’s about empowering people. This electricity will open up opportunities for local businesses, enhance educational resources, and improve healthcare facilities,” he added.

The project is funded through a joint effort between the government and private investors. The first phase includes the installation of power lines and transformers in areas surrounding Wayzohn City.

MBH Power reports that significant progress has been made, and many homes are expected to be connected before the end of the month.

Local residents have expressed excitement and gratitude for the development. Prince Targbah, a resident of Tower Street, shared his enthusiasm:

“We have waited for this one electricity for a very long time. I can’t wait to see it in my room with my television and fan on. This electricity will change everything in this city—mainly at the government hospital.”

Community engagement remains a key priority as the project advances. Residents are being encouraged to attend public information sessions to learn about safe electricity use and how to maximize the benefits of their new power supply.

With full completion expected in the coming days, the electrification of Wayzohn City is poised to usher in a new era of progress—enhancing daily life, boosting the local economy, and strengthening vital public services for years to come.
