GBRANGA BONG COUNTY — In a landmark step toward urban renewal and infrastructure development, Bong County Senator Johnny Kpehe is set to commission Gbarnga’s first-ever roundabout.

This comes on the heels of the successful installation of the city’s inaugural traffic lights, marking a period of rapid modernization for the county’s capital.

Strategically positioned at Lofa Parking—directly across from the Gbarnga Central Police Station—the new roundabout is more than a traffic management solution.

It has been designed to serve as a multi-purpose landmark that will enhance both the aesthetic appeal and functionality of the city’s central area. The site is expected to double as a recreational hub and beautification centerpiece, reflecting a vision that merges urban planning with community engagement.

The roundabout project is part of Senator Kpehe’s wider agenda to transform Bong County’s infrastructure.

Since assuming office, the senator has emphasized development that not only meets practical needs but also improves the quality of life for residents.

His initiatives have focused on enhancing public spaces, modernizing transport networks, and creating a more livable urban environment.

Residents of Gbarnga and the wider Bong County have expressed strong support and appreciation for the senator’s efforts.

Many see the roundabout as a tangible sign of progress and a testament to Senator Kpehe’s commitment to meaningful, community-driven change.

The official commissioning ceremony is expected to draw local leaders, community members, and government officials, highlighting the growing momentum behind Gbarnga’s transformation.
