Tensions Rise as ALCOP Supporters Demand Resignation of NDMA Director

By: BY Sampson W Weah – sampsonwweah7@gmail.com

MONROVIA — Tensions erupted at the headquarters of the National Disaster Management Agency (NDMA) on Monday, as dozens of aggrieved supporters of the All Liberian Coalition Party (ALCOP) staged a protest demanding the immediate resignation of the agency’s Executive Director, Mr. Ansu Dulley.

Protesters accused Mr. Dulley of receiving two vehicles and a cash donation of $20,000 USD on behalf of ALCOP without informing the party’s leadership. They claim the alleged failure to disclose these contributions represents a serious breach of trust and transparency.

In addition to the financial allegations, the demonstrators also criticized Mr. Dulley for unilaterally appointing a National Youth Chairperson—an action they argue violates the party’s constitution and exceeds the authority granted to the chairman.

Mr. Dulley is also reportedly under investigation by the Liberia Anti-Corruption Commission (LACC) over separate allegations of financial impropriety. However, the nature and status of that investigation remain undisclosed. When contacted by reporters, Mr. Dulley declined to comment, stating he would issue an official response to the allegations on Tuesday.

The protesters, dressed in party colors and chanting anti-corruption slogans, vowed to continue their demonstration until their demands are met. Several placards read, “No More Corruption” and “Dulley Must Go Now!” Police officers were deployed to the scene to maintain order and prevent potential unrest.

As of this report, ALCOP’s national leadership has not issued a statement addressing the protest or the allegations against Mr. Dulley.
