Grand Kru – A 22-year-old man identified as Alex S.K. Weh has been accused of allegedly raping and impregnating his foster sister in Barclayville, Grand Kru County.
The allegation was formally reported to the Liberia National Police in Barclayville on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, by the girl’s foster father, identified as John (not his real name)

According to the complaint, the girl — referred to as Comfort (not her real name) for protection — had informed her foster parents that she was feeling unwell.
The father told police that they later observed her bleeding, prompting them to question her about what had happened. During the inquiry, she accused Alex S.K. Weh of being responsible.
Police say, based on the report filed, the accused was promptly arrested in Barclayville to assist with ongoing investigations.
Authorities further disclosed that during preliminary questioning, the suspect admitted that he and the girl had been in a relationship since 2025. However, he reportedly claimed he was unaware of her pregnancy.
The Grand Kru County Detachment of the Liberia National Police also revealed that due to the seriousness of the survivor’s medical condition, she has been referred to a hospital for further medical examination and treatment.
Meanwhile, investigations into the matter are ongoing.
