MONROVIA – The Director of the elite presidential guard, Executive Protection Service (EPS) has filed a US$2-million lawsuit against the former Commissioner of the Liberia Maritime Authority Eugene Nagbe.
The legal suit is filed at the Sixth Judicial Circuit, Civil Law Court at the Temple of Justice in Monrovia.
The suit follows comments made against the EPA Director by Commissioner Nagbe when he was interviewed by OK FM 99.5, a local radio station in Monrovia.
Mr. Nagbe stands accused of claim that the EPS Director has a photograph in his bedroom which depicts a gun pointed at former President George Weah.
In a statement to FrontPageAfrica on April 21, 2025 Mr. Nagbe confirmed that he had been served with a writ of summons from the civil law court.
He expressed confidence that the lawsuit would be dismissed stating “The lawsuit from Mr. Sam Gaye is frivolous and completely bereft of merit. I trust the judicial system, and I am therefore confident that this vainglorious attempt to intimidate will be thrashed and squashed.”
