PAYNESVILLE – The Deputy Director General for Operations at the National Transit Authority (NTA), Noah Zawu Gibson, has been summoned by the Paynesville Magisterial Court following allegations that he interfered in a land dispute and encouraged residents to resist a court-ordered eviction.
The dispute centers on a property in Jacob Town, where Joseph Bussie, through his attorney, obtained a court ruling to reclaim ownership.
Despite the court’s decision, Gibson is accused of trespassing on the property and making public allegations on a local radio station, labeling Bussie and his legal team as “criminal land dealers.”
Court documents obtained by OK FM indicate that Gibson faces charges of menacing, disorderly conduct, and criminal coercion. The alleged actions are said to have caused fear, public ridicule, and reputational harm to the property owner and his legal representatives.
The matter intensified after the Civil Law Court reaffirmed the eviction order, citing the defendants’ failure to appeal in a timely manner.
Deputy Director Gibson is scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday, May 28, to respond to the charges.
