MONROVIA – The Government of Liberia has pledged to leave no stone unturned in its fight against corruption under the administration of President Joseph Boakai.

Through the Ministry of Information, the government emphasized that combating corruption remains one of its top priorities.

Speaking Tuesday at MICAT’s regular press briefing in Monrovia, Deputy Minister for Technical Services, Daniel Sando, said that the recent indictments of former officials by the Asset Recovery and Property Retrieval Taskforce demonstrate the Unity Party government’s firm commitment to addressing corruption nationwide.

According to Minister Sando, Liberia has long been affected by public corruption, which he described as deeply embedded in the nation’s culture and systems.

He further stressed that individuals who abuse public office or engage in corrupt practices will be held accountable under the law.
