MONROVIA – The Supreme Court has ordered the immediate release of Justin Oldpa Yeazehn, alias Prophet Key, from the Monrovia Central Prison after determining that he has fully served the six-month sentence imposed on him for contempt of court.

The directive is contained in an official Release Order issued by the Clerk of the Supreme Court on August 14, 2026, and addressed to the Superintendent of the Monrovia Central Prison.
The order, issued in connection with the “Contempt Proceedings Against Mr. Justin Oldpa Yeazehn,” directs prison authorities to release Yeazehn from further detention.
“By directive of the Full Bench of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Liberia, you are hereby ordered to release from further detention the living body of Justin Oldpa Yeazehn, who has fully served his six (6) months sentence imposed by the Supreme Court of Liberia for contempt of court,” the order states.
The Supreme Court further declared that the release directive constitutes the prison authorities’ “legal and sufficient authority” to discharge Yeazehn.
The document was issued under the hands and seal of the Supreme Court on August 14, 2026, and signed by Cllr. Sam Mamadeh, Clerk of the Supreme Court of Liberia.
The order was specifically directed to the Superintendent of the Monrovia Central Prison, located on South Beach, Center Street, Monrovia.
Yeazehn’s detention stemmed from contempt proceedings before the Supreme Court, which ultimately resulted in the six-month custodial sentence now confirmed as fully served.
With the Supreme Court’s latest directive, prison authorities are formally instructed to end his detention rather than keep him incarcerated beyond the period imposed by the Court.
The release order comes directly from the Full Bench of the Supreme Court, making clear that no further judicial authorization is required from another court for Yeazehn’s discharge.
The Supreme Court’s March Term 2026 bench, as reflected in the document, comprised Chief Justice Yamie Quiqui Gbeisay, Sr., and Associate Justices Jamesetta H. Wolokolie, Yussif D. Kaba, Ceainah D. Clinton-Johnson, and Boakai N. Kanneh.
The directive effectively brings Yeazehn’s six-month contempt sentence to an end and instructs the prison administration to comply with his release.
As of the issuance of the order, the Supreme Court has formally recognized that Yeazehn has completed the sentence imposed for contempt and is no longer legally required to remain in custody on that basis.
The order therefore clears the way for the immediate release of Justin Oldpa Yeazehn from the Monrovia Central Prison.
