GRAND BASSA COUNTY – The former Project Management Committee (PMC) of Grand Bassa County has presented a comprehensive report to Representative Clarence T. Banks on Wednesday, detailing a series of major development projects that have remained uncompleted since 2018.

The report, delivered during a county caucus meeting held in Monrovia, highlighted growing concerns over the stalled implementation of critical infrastructure and health initiatives launched under the previous administration.

Led by former PMC Chairman Moses G. Henry, the presentation identified five key projects—amounting to hundreds of thousands of U.S. dollars—that have remained unfinished for over six years. These include: Bridge construction in Blagbhn – USD 117,970.20, BBA Bridge in St. John – USD 130,001.44, Bridge in Diahn – USD 322,559.83, Clinic construction in Boglay – USD 129,889.88 and the Market development in Yeablo, District #2 Compound – USD 49,348.13

“These are not just figures; these are real, essential projects that directly impact the daily lives of our people,” Henry said, acknowledging the longstanding frustration among residents over the lack of visible progress.

Representative Banks, who called the caucus meeting, expressed his deep concern and disappointment over the delays, questioning why such critical community initiatives had been neglected. He emphasized the need for transparency and called for explanations regarding the failure to complete the projects.

Community members have increasingly voiced frustration over unfulfilled development promises and a lack of trust in local leadership. The release of the PMC’s report comes at a time when stakeholders are renewing efforts to revive stalled projects and restore public confidence.

Rep. Banks emphasized the importance of accountability and a collaborative approach to development.

“We must ensure that these projects are completed, not just for the sake of finishing them, but because they are vital to improving the quality of life in Grand Bassa,” he said.

The presentation concluded with a unified call from stakeholders for renewed commitment to service delivery, responsible leadership, and meaningful investment in the county’s future.
