Unidentified Vessel Secured Along Monrovia Coastline as Authorities Launch Joint Investigation

MONROVIA – Liberian security authorities say they have secured an unidentified vessel that was found grounded along the Monrovia coastline, with no crew members on board when responders arrived.

According to a statement from the Liberia National Police, a joint maritime and law-enforcement assessment is now underway to identify the vessel and establish its origin, recent movements and the circumstances under which it came ashore.

Officials say the investigation remains ongoing, and no conclusion has been reached regarding whether the incident is connected to any criminal activity.

The public has been warned against approaching the vessel or removing anything from it, as authorities continue their assessment and work to preserve potential evidence.

Authorities are also appealing to members of the public who may have relevant information or footage of the vessel to provide it to investigators.
