River Gee County – In a united and urgent appeal, residents of Fishtown are rallying to demand the immediate renovation of the River Gee County Sports Stadium, which has remained in disrepair for over four months following a devastating storm.
The storm, marked by heavy rains and powerful winds, caused severe damage to the facility—stripping off its roof and leaving it unusable.
Since then, the stadium has been out of service, disrupting a wide range of community activities, including local sports events, concerts, and cultural gatherings.
The River Gee County Sports Stadium has long served as a vital hub for the community, hosting local football matches, school programs, and regional sports competitions.
Its prolonged closure has left a significant gap in community life, especially for youth and sports enthusiasts.
