Roads Blocked, Suspects Detained in Lofa Over Disappearance of Elder Sackie

By: Contributor

Ziggida, Lofa County Tensions are running high in Ziggida Town, Zeayeama Clan, Zorzor District, following the mysterious disappearance of Elder Sackie, who has been missing for more than two weeks.

Residents have blocked the main road and detained two men — Zazay-Boi Kpadeh and Noowo-ku — whom they suspect of having knowledge about Sackie’s whereabouts.

The suspects, however, insist that Sackie disappeared on their return from Guinea after a ritual, claiming he was intoxicated and fell behind.

The situation escalated when angry youths resisted police efforts to take the men in for questioning, insisting they remain in Ziggida to assist with the search for the missing elder.

The town remains barricaded as investigations continue.
