Buchanan City – The “Own Your Own Community” area on the outskirts of Buchanan City is set to welcome a new senior high school, a project that is now nearing completion under the leadership of Grand Bassa County Superintendent Karyou Johnson.

The forthcoming public school will cater to students in grades 10 through 12 and is designed to provide a modern and conducive learning environment.

The facility will feature three separate annexes to accommodate classrooms for senior students, administrative offices, a cafeteria, library, laboratory, and modern bathroom facilities.

Its location in a relatively isolated area has been praised by authorities for providing an environment suitable for focused learning.

Officials disclosed that the construction of the school has been undertaken at a cost exceeding three hundred thousand United States Dollars.

The project is part of a broader initiative by the county administration to improve educational infrastructure in the region.

In addition to the school, the local administration is carrying out extensive renovations on the administrative building and the superintendent’s official quarters.

The project also includes the construction of additional structures and the development of a mini park, further enhancing the community’s amenities.

Superintendent Karyou Johnson expressed optimism that the new school and related projects would significantly improve access to quality education and community services, benefiting both students and residents alike.

The project represents a milestone in the county’s ongoing efforts to strengthen education and public infrastructure in Grand Bassa, a move expected to positively impact the county’s social and economic development.
