He noted that beneficiaries are individuals who have fulfilled their tax obligations for 2024, 2025, and 2026.

According to Mr. Pelenah, the engines were distributed as follows: Nifu received two, Sassatown eight, Pinicess four, Grandcess nine, and Garraway one.

Expressing gratitude to NaFFA Director General J. Cyrus Saygbe Sr., Mr. Pelenah said the initiative empowers local fishermen and provides a model incentive for others who have yet to comply with government tax regulations.

Mr. Pelenah disclosed the information during a telephone interview with Grand Kru TV on Sunday evening, March 8, 2026.

Beneficiaries of the program welcomed the initiative, noting that their consistent adherence to tax payments is now yielding tangible benefits, and encouraged fellow fishermen to follow their example.

Communities across Grand Kru commended NaFFA for recognizing and rewarding ethical compliance with national government policies.

Meanwhile, in Maryland County, 14 Yamaha outboard engines were also distributed to local fishermen as part of NaFFA’s ongoing support programs.
