BUCHANAN – Grand Bassa University has emerged as champions of the Inter-University Kickball Tournament following an outstanding performance in Buchanan City.

The GBU girls began the competition with a thrilling 4–4 draw against Bong County University before producing a dominant display to defeat Margibi University 4–0 in their final game.
The victory secured Grand Bassa University a total of 4 points, enough to finish top of the standings and lift the tournament trophy. Bong County University finished second with 2 points, while Margibi University ended the competition with 1 point.
The tournament, hosted in Buchanan, brought together universities across Liberia under a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed by Grand Bassa University, Bong County University, Margibi University, and Nimba University.
Organizers say the initiative is intended to promote unity, sportsmanship, teamwork, and stronger relationships among universities through sports and academic engagement.
Grand Bassa University’s triumph marks a memorable achievement for the institution, as students and supporters celebrated the team’s impressive unbeaten run in the competition.
