In a statement issued Monday, the party said a committee established by its Commander-in-Chief and Political Leader conducted a thorough investigation into the resolution by the Board of the National Housing Authority that led to Bonnah’s removal as Deputy Managing Director for Administration.
According to the EFFL, the committee concluded that the Board’s decision was driven largely by political motives and internal power struggles within sections of the current government, rather than evidence of financial misconduct or professional incompetence.
The party alleged that some officials within the Unity Party-led government are undermining progressive alliance partners through political targeting and misinformation aimed at weakening revolutionary forces that contributed to the coalition’s rise to power.
The EFFL also praised Amos B. Tweh for what it described as a principled and courageous position regarding the Board’s resolution.
According to the party, Tweh’s refusal to endorse the decision demonstrated integrity, fairness, and commitment to due process in the fight against corruption.
At the same time, the EFFL expressed disappointment in members of the NHA Board whom it accused of placing political allegiance and personal interests above justice, transparency, and fairness.
The party warned that such actions threaten the spirit of partnership and unity upon which the UP Alliance government was formed.
Based on the committee’s findings, the EFFL said its Central Revolutionary Council has fully reinstated and reaffirmed the membership and standing of Prince Saah Bonnah Jr. within the party’s political leadership and revolutionary movement.
The party maintained that the actions taken against Bonnah were politically motivated and orchestrated by “bad elements” operating within the government.
The EFFL further called for the immediate restructuring and strengthening of the UP Alliance leadership framework to ensure alliance partners are respected, protected, and fairly represented without internal sabotage by appointed officials.
The party said it remains committed to accountability, transparency, and the struggle for social justice and national transformation in Liberia.
