MONROVIA – Newly released Prophet Justin Oldpa Yeazeahn, popularly known as Prophet Key, has alleged that his rights were violated during his 183-day detention at the Monrovia Central Prison.

Speaking shortly after his release following an order from the Supreme Court of Liberia, Prophet Key rejected claims that he insulted the entire Supreme Court bench, insisting that he never made such remarks.
“My right has been violated. I did not cuss the whole bench. But when I came here, the judges said I cussed the whole bench, which I never did,” Prophet Key said.
His comments come after the Supreme Court ordered his release from detention following legal proceedings before the Court.
Prophet Key, who spent 183 days behind bars, said he disagreed with the characterization of his conduct before the Court and maintained that the allegations against him did not accurately reflect what he said.
Meanwhile, Prophet Key has vowed to pursue legal action against social media user Suzan Gbangaye over an allegation concerning his treatment while in prison.
In a social media post on Monday, Gbangaye claimed that a source had informed her that Prophet Key was allegedly raped in his prison cell.
Prophet Key has strongly denied the allegation, describing it as false, and said he intends to sue Gbangaye over the publication.
The allegation has not been independently verified, and no evidence establishing that such an incident occurred has been presented in the information available.
With his release now secured, Prophet Key says he will consider further legal action over what he describes as violations of his rights and the social media allegation concerning his treatment while incarcerated.
