MONROVIA – President of the National Customs Brokers Association, James L. Hinneh, has expressed strong support for the official launch of the Child Protection Initiative (CPI), describing the occasion as a historic step toward safeguarding the rights, well-being, and future of Liberia’s children.

Speaking during the grand launch parade from the Sports Commission to PHP Park in Monrovia, Hinneh said he was honored to stand alongside children, young people, advocates, and other supporters committed to building a safer and more secure future for every child in Liberia.
As the father of Jamelia Hinneh, Chief Executive Officer of the Child Protection Initiative, Hinneh said he was particularly proud to witness his daughter’s leadership in advancing the protection, education, and empowerment of children.
He noted that many children across Liberia continue to face serious challenges, including abuse, child labor, neglect, and limited access to quality education. He stressed that addressing these challenges requires the collective efforts of parents, communities, government leaders, civil society organizations, and citizens.
“Every child deserves to feel safe, loved, protected, and empowered to dream,” Hinneh said. “If we work together as parents, communities, leaders, organizations, and citizens, we can build a Liberia where every child has the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive.”
Hinneh described the launch of the Child Protection Initiative as more than the unveiling of a new organization, saying it represents a broader commitment to protecting Liberia’s children and securing the nation’s future.
He congratulated Jamelia Hinneh and the entire CPI team for their efforts and pledged his support for the organization’s mission to protect children and create opportunities for them to reach their full potential.
The Child Protection Initiative is focused on advocating for children’s rights, promoting their safety and well-being, and mobilizing communities to help ensure that every child in Liberia enjoys a secure, supportive, and hopeful future.
