LDEA Arrests Woman in Sinoe County for Possession of Over 24 Kilograms of Marijuana

Sinoe County – The Liberia Drug Enforcement Agency (LDEA) in Sinoe County has arrested a 35-year-old woman following the discovery of more than 24 kilograms of marijuana in Farmerville, Greenville.

The arrest took place during an early-morning search and seizure operation on Friday, July 11, 2025, carried out under a court-issued writ.

The suspect, Teta Kollie—a Liberian national from Montserrado County and a member of the Gola ethnic group—was found in possession of 24.326 kilograms of marijuana.

Authorities estimate the street value at approximately $2,933 USD, or 557,270 Liberian Dollars.

According to the LDEA, Kollie admitted to owning the drugs after being informed of her legal rights.

She has since been formally charged and referred to the Greenville Magisterial Court for prosecution.

The LDEA reiterated its commitment to combating drug trafficking and abuse across Sinoe County and the entire nation.
