The agreement outlines a roadmap for collaboration over the next five years, focusing on foundational learning, equity, and improving efficiency across the education system. It places strong emphasis on supporting vulnerable and marginalized children to ensure inclusive access to quality education.

Under the partnership, both parties will work to expand access to education, enhance teaching and learning, and promote safe and inclusive school environments nationwide.

The plan also prioritizes capacity building, data-driven decision-making, and coordinated implementation to ensure that programs are effective, measurable, and sustainable.

Minister Jallah described the agreement as a significant step forward in advancing Liberia’s education agenda.

“This partnership reflects our unwavering commitment to ensuring that every child in Liberia has the opportunity to learn and thrive,” she said. “Working with UNICEF allows us to advance key reforms that will strengthen our education system for years to come.”

The initiative will support national priorities, including foundational learning reforms, teacher development, and improved service delivery across schools.

UNICEF Country Representative Andy Brooks highlighted the importance of the collaboration, noting that the plan is designed to promote inclusive and equitable education.

“This Work Plan is a major step toward ensuring quality education for every child,” he said. “By prioritizing equity and system-wide improvements, we can reach the most marginalized learners and provide them with opportunities to succeed.”

The 2026–2030 Work Plan reflects the continued commitment of the Ministry of Education and UNICEF to building a resilient and inclusive education system that enables Liberian children to reach their full potential.
