The appointment will be formally conferred during NOBLE’s 50th Anniversary Celebration and Annual Training Conference scheduled for July 2026 in Dallas, Texas. The decision was communicated in an official correspondence dated May 4, 2026, signed by Incoming National President Mitchell R. Davis III.

According to NOBLE, Inspector General Coleman’s selection reflects international recognition of his leadership in modern policing, his experience in public safety management, and his contributions to institutional reform and international law enforcement cooperation.

The organization further noted that his role will help strengthen bilateral and multilateral partnerships, particularly between the United States and Liberia.

NOBLE also emphasized that the appointment comes at a time when global security threats are increasingly transnational in nature, requiring stronger collaboration among law enforcement agencies to address evolving challenges such as organized crime and cross-border criminal networks.

The upcoming conference, themed “Forged in Struggle, Empowered by Strength, Defining Our Future: Shaping Law Enforcement’s Next Chapter,” will bring together law enforcement executives, policymakers, security experts, and criminal justice professionals from around the world to discuss innovation, accountability, and international security cooperation.

The Liberia National Police described the appointment as a significant milestone not only for the institution but also for Liberia, noting that it reinforces the country’s growing role in global discussions on democratic policing, rule of law, and professional standards in law enforcement.

The LNP reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening international partnerships and enhancing cooperation in tackling transnational organized crime, cybercrime, narcotics and human trafficking, violent extremism, and other emerging security threats.
