The training brought together government officials, civil society actors, media representatives, and county institutions, focusing on the roles and functions of the County Development Steering Committee (CDSC), County Development Agenda (CDA), and the Annual Action and Investment Plan (AAIP).

Participants were equipped with practical tools to enhance coordination, align development priorities, and effectively monitor 29 programs and 92 interventions valued at approximately US$56.7 million under the 2025–2029 development framework.

Organizers said the workshop reinforced a shared commitment among stakeholders to improve communication, strengthen institutional systems, and advance Liberia’s decentralization agenda to ensure better service delivery at the county level.

As part of efforts to sustain the initiative’s impact, Naymote partnered with Radio Gbarnga to expand public education and raise citizen awareness about ongoing development activities. The collaboration also aims to track progress and promote transparency.

Simplified versions of the County Development Agenda were distributed to participants to support community engagement and ensure that citizens are better informed about development priorities and implementation.

Naymote said the session has helped to build stronger coordination among actors, enhance stakeholder understanding, and renew momentum for accountable local governance in Bong County.
