BOMI COUNTY – President Joseph Nyumah Boakai has lauded Liberia American Poultry for its transformative investment in Bomi County, calling the large-scale agricultural initiative “impressive” following a day-long tour of the state-of-the-art facility.
Accompanied by a delegation of government officials, President Boakai toured the expansive poultry farm, which boasts cutting-edge technology in both poultry farming and processing.
The facility produces an astonishing 500,000 eggs daily, making it a critical contributor to the local economy and a key driver of employment in the region.
“This is impressive,” President Boakai remarked while inspecting the modern poultry houses, feed mills, and high-capacity processing units. “Here is a clear demonstration of the potential of private sector investment in Liberia. This is not just about poultry production—it’s about job creation, economic growth, and food security.”
The President praised the Liberia American Poultry management for their bold commitment to agricultural development, particularly in a region traditionally reliant on subsistence farming.

He expressed optimism that the success of the Bomi-based farm would serve as a beacon to attract additional foreign investment.
“The success of Liberia American Poultry is a testament to what can be achieved with determination, innovation, and a conducive business environment. I hope this will send a strong signal to other potential investors that Liberia is open and ready for business.”
President Boakai also reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to fostering a business-friendly climate, emphasizing agriculture as a cornerstone of his economic agenda. He stressed that policies under his leadership will continue to focus on driving local industry, encouraging entrepreneurship, and improving the livelihoods of ordinary Liberians.
Liberia American Poultry is currently one of the largest poultry farms in the country, and its presence in Bomi County underscores a growing wave of foreign direct investment in Liberia’s agricultural sector—a trend the government is eager to expand.
