MONROVIA – Newly promoted Upper Women’s League side Small Town FC has appointed Monroe D. Winn as head coach for the upcoming 2025/26 Liberia Football Association (LFA) season.

Winn, a former boss of Shaita Angels FC and D.C. Shooters, signed a two-year deal with the club as it prepares for its maiden campaign in Liberia’s top-tier women’s football league.

A Proven Leader Joins the Ranks

Widely respected in Liberian women’s football circles, Coach Winn is known for his tactical intelligence, player development expertise, and track record of building competitive teams.

“It’s an honor to join Small Town FC at such an exciting time,” said Coach Winn. “This team has a heart, and together we’re going to build something special.”

His appointment signals the club’s determination to make a strong impression in its first season at the top level.

Building for Success

Small Town FC secured promotion earlier this year and is now focused on assembling a competitive squad under Winn’s guidance.

Preseason preparations are expected to intensify in the coming weeks as the team sets its sights on a successful debut campaign.

Shaita Angels Begin Contract Renewals

Meanwhile, Shaita Angels FC—Winn’s former team—has begun renewing contracts with key players as part of its preparations for the new season.

The club confirmed that half of its returning squad has already signed new deals, with the remaining renewals expected to be finalized by the end of the week.

Club officials say the move is aimed at retaining core talent and warding off interest from rival clubs.

Shaita Angels is also planning new signings in September as part of a broader preseason recruitment strategy.
