WAEC Liberia Launches Nationwide School Outreach to Boost Exam Services

Monrovia – The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) Liberia National Office is set to launch a major nationwide outreach campaign on Monday, January 19, 2026, aimed at enhancing service delivery and providing direct support to schools across all 15 counties.

The initiative, which will run through January 24, is designed to assist school authorities and administrators in resolving key challenges, particularly those related to registration procedures and processes for various examinations.

According to a release from WAEC’s Public Affairs Unit, teams of staff members will be deployed to the counties to provide hands-on technical support.

A primary focus will be helping schools that face difficulties with candidate fee payments and completing registrations due to a lack of clear information or understanding of the digital and manual processes.

“The teams will liaise directly with County Education Officers, school principals, and secretariats to ensure the smooth execution of their duties and the overall success of the outreach,” the release stated. “This direct engagement is crucial to addressing the unique issues faced by schools in different regions.”

The outreach will cover all counties, with teams visiting key towns and schools each day. In Margibi and Montserrado, the teams will be in Kakata and surrounding areas from January 19 to 21, followed by Harbel and its surroundings, as well as Districts 1, 2, and 3 in Montserrado County from January 22 to 24.

Lofa, Nimba, and Bong counties will see the teams in Kolahun and Foya on January 19, Zorzor and Salayea on January 20, Saclepea on January 21, Sanniquellie on January 22, Gbarnga on January 23, and Totota on January 24.

Grand Cape Mount and Gbarpolu will be visited starting in Robertsport on January 19, then moving to Tiene and Sinje on January 20, Bopolu on January 21, Weamawo on January 22, and Tubmanburg, Jenneh, and Dewoin on January 23 and 24.

Teams assigned to Grand Bassa, River Cess, and Sinoe will begin in Greenville on January 19–20, then proceed to Cestos City on January 21, Yarpah’s Town on January 22, the LAC area on January 23, and conclude in Buchanan on January 24.

In Grand Gedeh, River Gee, Maryland, and Grand Kru, the teams will visit Toe’s Town, Kaweaken, Barclayville, and Pleebo on January 19, Zwedru, Fishtown, and Borrobo on January 20, and Zwedru, Fishtown, and Kaloken on January 21.

They will continue in Harper, Kaweaken, Pleebo, and Barclayville on January 22, followed by Harper, CRC, Zwedru, and Fishtown on January 23, and conclude in Pleebo, Barclayville, Kaweaken, and Zwedru on January 24.

The management of WAEC Liberia is urging all school authorities, especially principals and their secretariats, to fully cooperate with the visiting teams to ensure that the objectives of the outreach are successfully achieved.
