MONROVIA – In a powerful display of partnership and progress, the Liberia National Police (LNP) and the African Methodist Episcopal University (AMEU) have officially signed a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) aimed at strengthening capacity building and professional development in the field of criminal justice.

Held on the AMEU campus, the signing ceremony marked a transformative moment in Liberia’s educational and security landscape.

The agreement establishes a framework for collaboration in education, mentorship, internships, and employment opportunities—giving students of criminal justice real-world exposure and a direct pathway into public service.

“We must prepare our junior officers to lead with integrity and vision,” said Deputy Inspector General Hon. William K. Mulbah, emphasizing the importance of nurturing the next generation of law enforcement professionals.

Echoing that vision, Inspector General Hon. Gregory O. W. Coleman reaffirmed the LNP’s unwavering commitment to human rights, dignity, and high-quality service delivery.

AMEU President Rev. Dr. Alvin E. Attah expressed pride in the partnership, pledging continued support to ensure the collaboration delivers mutual value.

“Together, we are not just building careers — we are building a safer, smarter Liberia, “he stated.

The event was attended by a host of dignitaries, including senior LNP officials, AMEU board members, faculty, and special guests such as Daniel Chea.

Their presence underscored the significance of the moment and the shared vision behind it.
