Amb. Kpadeh Re-Emphasizes Need for Strengthened Bond Between Liberia, Saudi in International Shipping

LONDON – Amid change in global order and reshaping of priorities by western powers, Liberia’s Permanent Representative to the International Maritime Organization Ambassador Robert Kpadeh has reemphasized the need for strengthen bond between Liberia and the Kingdom of Saudi Aribia.

The Kingdom of Saudi Aribia is indeed very wealthy, primarily due to its vast oil reserves, making it a major oil producer and exporter and a high income country.

On the sideline of the ongoing 83rd Session of the Marine Environment Protection Committee Chaired by Liberia, Ambassador Kpadeh told the Saudi Permanent Representative to the IMO H.E. Kamal Al Junaidi team attending the session about Liberia’s potential and the need for a strong bond between both nations for the sake of international shipping.

“This meeting is just basically to reemphasize the need for us to strengthen our bond, continue to work together for the good of international shipping. So it’s a pleasure to have you.” He told the Saudi team.

He said Liberia and Saudi can work together collectively to ensure international shipping is advance and advance for the good of humanity.

“I think collectively, when we work together, we can ensure international shipping is advance for the good of humanity and the environment is protected. So I am here to reassure you that Liberia will continue to be a good friend to Saudi.” Amb. Kpadeh said.

At the meeting, Saudi Aribia Permanent Representative to the International Maritime Organization H.E. Kamal Al Junaidi praised Liberia’s extraordinary leadership in the international shipping as one of the world’s largest shipping registry.

He commended Ambassador Robert Kpadeh for his steadfast leadership as Liberia Permanent Representative to the IMO.

Ambassador Al Junaidi stated that Amb. Kpadeh’s leadership has strengthened Liberia’s position in the IMO as not just a Council member but as a country that is playing leadership role at the level of the IMO.

The Saudi Permanent Rep. H.E. Al Juanidi said his country is pleased to have solid relationship with the Liberia and promised to continue the bond of mutual cooperation, collaboration, and solidarity with Liberia in the premise of advancing global shipping.
