MONROVIA – Thirty officers of the Liberia National Police (LNP) have departed for Kigali, Rwanda, to participate in Station Commanders’ and Advanced Special Forces Training Courses.

The initiative is designed to boost their skills and professionalism, strengthening the capacity of the LNP to deliver effective policing in Liberia.

During a send-off ceremony, Inspector General Gregory Coleman urged the officers to uphold the highest standards of professionalism throughout their training.

He stressed the importance of their mission and reminded them that they are ambassadors of Liberia.

Coleman disclosed that the officers were carefully vetted through a rigorous selection process involving both Liberian authorities and their Rwandan counterparts.

This, he noted, reflects the LNP’s commitment to excellence and the trust reposed in the selected officers.

Congratulating them, the Police Chief encouraged the contingent to serve with honor and integrity.

He emphasized that their performance could set a positive precedent for future candidates seeking similar opportunities.

The training in Rwanda forms part of broader efforts to enhance the operational capacity of the LNP, equipping officers with modern policing skills.

It underscores the government’s commitment to improving public safety and security in Liberia.

Authorities expressed confidence that the knowledge and experience gained from the training will not only benefit the officers but also strengthen the overall effectiveness of the police force upon their return.
