Monrovia – The University of Liberia has released the results of its 2025 Entrance and Placement Examinations, with only 28.3 percent of undergraduate candidates successfully passing.
According to the Center for Testing and Evaluation (CTE), a total of 13,130 candidates registered for the exams, but 614 were absent. Of the 12,516 who sat the test, 2,807 passed, while 9,299 were unsuccessful.
Additionally, 410 candidates had their results rendered indeterminate due to wrongly shaded examination numbers.
Among the successful candidates, females slightly outperformed males, with 1,415 (50.41%) passing compared to 1,392 (49.59%) males.
At the David A. Straz Technical and Vocational College in Sinje, Grand Cape Mount County, 221 candidates registered, with 188 sitting the exam.
Only 25 students (13.3%) passed, while many others were referred to remedial programs in Mathematics and English.
The University said the results highlight the need for stronger academic preparation, while assuring continued remedial support to help more students succeed.
