NIMBA COUNTY – The ArcelorMittal Liberia (AML) High School in Yekepa has recorded a 100 percent pass rate in the 2026 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE), with all 41 candidates presented by the ArcelorMittal School System successfully passing the national examination.

The achievement represents another strong performance by the school and reinforces its growing record of academic excellence.
According to official results from the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) Liberia, each of the 41 candidates successfully passed the examination.
Back-to-Back Academic Success
The 2026 result marks the second consecutive 100 percent WASSCE pass rate achieved by the ArcelorMittal School System, following a similar performance during the 2024–2025 academic year.
The back-to-back results are being viewed as evidence of the school system’s continued focus on quality education, effective teaching, and sustained investment in the academic development of students in Yekepa and surrounding communities.
For AML, the achievement highlights the impact of its commitment to education as part of its broader support for young people and communities in its operational areas.
AML Applauds Students, Teachers and Parents
Commenting on the performance, AML Head of Social Services Charlesetta Harris Peters praised the students and everyone who contributed to the successful outcome.
“This outstanding performance demonstrates AML’s continued commitment to providing quality education for the dependents of its employees and children from surrounding communities. We are extremely proud of our students and grateful to the teachers, administrators, parents, and management whose collective efforts contributed to this success.”
Harris Peters said the result reflects the collective work of the students, teachers, school administrators, parents and AML management, whose combined efforts helped the candidates achieve the exceptional outcome.
41 Graduates Prepare for the Future
The 100 percent pass rate means all 41 students presented by the ArcelorMittal School System have successfully completed their national secondary school examination, opening the way for them to pursue different educational and career opportunities.
The graduates are now expected to take their next steps toward higher education, vocational and technical training, and other opportunities that can prepare them for future careers and contribute to Liberia’s development.
The latest achievement has also provided an opportunity for AML to celebrate the students while reaffirming its commitment to supporting education and investing in the future of young people in its host communities.
With another 100 percent WASSCE performance, the ArcelorMittal Liberia High School in Yekepa continues to demonstrate strong academic results and sets a positive example for students and communities across Nimba County.
