MONROVIA – The Liberia Drugs Enforcement Agency (LDEA) has received a major logistical boost with the delivery of 15 brand-new vehicles to reinforce its anti-narcotics operations across the country.
According to a statement issued today, the new fleet includes 12 Toyota Hilux pickups, two Toyota Land Cruisers, and one Toyota Fortuner SUV.
The government described the move as a “decisive step” toward improving mobility, slashing response times, and expanding LDEA’s presence in remote and high-risk areas affected by drug trafficking and abuse.
Officials stressed that the intervention demonstrates Liberia’s unwavering commitment to building a safer, drug-free society.
Speaking on behalf of the agency, the Officer-in-Charge of LDEA said the support is “more than a donation”—it is proof that the war on drugs is real and that authorities “are not backing down.”
With this enhanced logistical capacity, communities across Liberia are expected to soon feel the impact of what observers describe as the biggest anti-drug push in years.
