PAYNESVILLE – The Liberia Revenue Authority (LRA) has officially launched Taxpayer Appreciation Month 2026 under the theme: “From Vision to Reality: Taxpayers Delivering a Billion-Dollar Budget.” The initiative recognizes the critical role of taxpayers in Liberia’s national development.
At the launch, LRA Commissioner General James Dorbor Jallah described taxpayers as the driving force behind Liberia’s progress, highlighting the country’s record-breaking domestic revenue performance in 2025 as evidence of their contribution.

Assistant Commissioner Isaac Beyan Stevens emphasized that paying taxes is more than a civic duty; it is an investment in essential public services, including roads, healthcare, education, and the nation’s future.
Natty B. Davis, President of the Liberia Chamber of Commerce, officially launched the observance and stressed that citizens’ compliance with tax obligations is crucial for enabling the government to deliver services and implement development programs.
The event brought together key stakeholders, including LRA officials, representatives from the private sector, and development partners.
Planned activities for Taxpayer Appreciation Month 2026 include stakeholder engagements, Student Tax Day, promotion of digital services, the launch of a contact center, a corporate social responsibility initiative, a digital symposium, and an awards dinner.
More than 50 taxpayers are expected to be recognized for their outstanding compliance and contributions to Liberia’s development.
